COVID-19 Phase 3 Re-Opening Guidelines and Procedures

These Procedures are in Place as of May 26, 2021

Face Masks, additional info: For classes, all students may remove their masks once in class. Due to the possibility of both vaccinated and unvaccinated students and teachers being present social distancing should be maintained. For appointments, all clients are required to wear masks during entry/exit, during services for non-vaccinated clients, and voluntary proof of vaccination noted on your file to be able to remove your mask in-room during service.

COVID-19 Re-Opening Timeline

While the State of Georgia Governor’s Office has indicated we allowed to begin reopening as of April 24, we will remain closed through April 30. Beginning May 1, we will reopen in a limited capacity with newly implemented safety protocols for the health of our practitioners, instructors, clients, and students.

Some classes will remain as virtual classes through Zoom, while others will return to in-studio instruction. In-studio classes will be limited to 6 students, require pre-registration and payment (no drop-ins), and will have increased cleaning protocols after class.

Services will be limited in terms of how many clients we can see each day and week, how far we space them apart, when you can enter the building, and checkout procedures, along with enhanced safety measures regarding hand washing and PPE. More details will be provided to you upon booking your appointment. Clients with standing appointments and those who had appointments cancelled between March 24 and April 30, will be given priority when rebooking the schedule. Clients who have visited us before, but have had an appointment in the last 45 days will be considered for appointments if safety protocols allow. New clients are not being accepted at this time.

COVID-19 Quarantine Measures

Based on recommendations and mandates from our local & state governments as well as our national professional associations, we are currently closed for group classes and private services of all types including massage, Reiki, reflexology, acupuncture, and skin care. Our studio shop will be open for a few hours each day if you need yoga mats, ToeSox, to pick up skin care products, or other items while we ride out this social-distancing requirement.

Store Hours will be posted and updated daily – check back frequently.

Virtual Classes will be a mix of free broadcasts available on Facebook and Youtube and live-streaming classes on Zoom that you can access by registering for your classes on our website at least 30-minutes before class begins. Check the Class Schedule for more information.

August 2019 Updates

July 31st we switched from MindBody to Wellness Living as our primary scheduling software. This switch was meant to facilitate a more user-friendly experience for our clients and staff. The Wellness Living Achieve app for phones and tablets allows our clients and students to sign up for classes on the go! We are still working out a few kinks as we learn this new system, but we’re confident we’ll have the hang of it in no time! Please let us know if you have issues using the website, the app, logging into your accounts, navigating your class passes, or any other issue with the new software that we can assist you with.

We’ve got a variety of new classes, events, and workshops this month as well as the upcoming months and we continue to expand our Brunswick studio class offerings.

  • Barre Blend with Kat Ackerman is a new lunch time express Barre class on Thursdays at 12:00pm
  • Cardio Circuit with Megan Higginbotham brings us a 45-min HIIT workout twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:45pm. This picks up where our July Boot Camp left off.
  • Lunchtime Zen Yoga with Pat Heran anchors our midweek schedule in Brunswick every Wednesday at 12 noon.
  • Yamuna Body Rolling + Yoga with Kandy Duke will be a 3-week series at our Brunswick location on Friday evenings at 5:45pm from August 30 through September 13.
  • YBR for Shoulders, Wrists, & Hands will be Saturday, August 31 at 12:30pm in the SSI studio.
  • Yin+Yoga Nidra with Sheri Wesolowski is on August 20th at 6pm this month.
  • Beach Yoga continues on Saturdays at 8am through this month.

I logged into the website to upload our most recent newsletter and realized I had not updated the news page since last summer! That is far too long, because there is so much happening at Balance right now. I’ll try to hit the highlights, but also be sure to check out our updated class, event, and workshop schedules as well as peruse our recent newsletter. We hope we’ll see you in class in the coming weeks and that’ll you’ll join us at the Good Vibes Fest in Neptune Park on SSI on April 28th from 12-4pm.   • Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement has a new class time on Tuesdays at 10:45am. The Monday morning class has been canceled.

Have you read about our Costa Rica Yoga Retreat? Are you planning to go with us? If so, 50% deposits are due in July! Below are instructions for Paying Your Balance if you’re already registered or Signing Up if you haven’t registered yet.
If You’ve Already Paid Your Deposit:
Go to and click the Access the Classic MindBody portal link at the bottom of the homepage
Login with your User Name and Password
Choose Online Store on the top right tab
Then Account Payments in the middle line below the tabs
In the Drop-down menu choose Costa Rica Retreat Balance

Enter the amount you’d like to pay, put it in your cart and check out

If You Need to Register:
Go to and click the Access the Classic MindBody portal link at the bottom of the homepage
Login with your User Name and Password (or use the Create an Account box if you’re new in our system)
Choose Events & Series on the middle tab, and scroll down to Costa Rica or use the Service Categories drop-down menu to sort by Yoga Series & Workshops
Click on Sign-Up button on the bottom of the event
Choose Myself or Someone Else (if registering two people, do these one at a time), then Click Enroll at the bottom of the screen
Choose Your Accommodations (prices listed are per person)
Pick your Payment Option ($650 Deposit, Set Your Own Deposit over $650, Pay in Full), add to cart, and check out
